Panic Attack Cures – How to Care for Oneself at Home

Certain panic attack cures are possible to be done at home without seeking medical help. However, other complications and physical conditions that are fatal should be accounted for such as cardiac problems that will complicate things. In fact these physical conditions are the ones that need immediate attention despite the presence of panic attacks.

Conditions for treatment:

If you are an otherwise healthy person with no other complication and were diagnosed with panic attacks before, you should familiarize the signs and symptoms of your condition. When you are able to recognize how the condition progresses, you can apply certain panic attack cures.

Relaxation of your shoulders can help as you become conscious of the tension that is building up inside you and in your muscles. This is the first step to panic attack cures.

Here are more effective panic attack cures:

Gently reassure yourself. Relax all the tensed muscle groups in a progressive manner.

Start with your leg by tightening it while having a deep breath in. Hold it for a few seconds. Release your leg and exhale. Switch to your other leg. After you are done with the legs move up to your body and work on other muscle groups.

Breathe slowly by inhaling through your nose and blowing through your mouth with pursed lips. While doing this, feel your breathing by placing your hand on your stomach so that you are aware of what is going on in your body enabling you to take control. Awareness is an important aspect of most panic attack cures.

Assure yourself that you are not going crazy. If someone else is with you during your panic attack, let him or her hear you say that you are not going crazy. Part of panic attack cures is to be able to accept the fact that it is only in the mind. Always remember that you can win against it.

If you are at any risk because of certain medical conditions like cardiac and respiratory problems, panic attack cures at home is not advisable and is therefore suggested to seek medical help.
